Research Achievements and Selected Publications:

Our research mainly focuses on near-infrared (NIR) to short-wave infrared (SWIR) organic optoelectronic materials and devices, with a particular focus on the design and synthesis of narrow-bandgap organic semiconductors, the fabrication and performance optimization of organic photodetectors, the development of flexible and wearable optoelectronic systems, and the integration of biomimetic vision and intelligent sensing platforms. His research combines molecular design, thin-film assembly, device physics, and system-level applications to uncover the intrinsic relationships among molecular structure, aggregated-state packing, and optoelectronic performance, thereby advancing the application of organic optoelectronic technologies in NIR detection, imaging, spectral recognition, dynamic monitoring, human–machine interaction, and intelligent sensing. To date, he has published more than 50 papers in leading journals, including Science, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Advanced Materials, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, and National Science Review, and has been granted more than 10 patents, several of which have been commercialized.
