Seminar Series of “Hundreds of young academic leaders training program” for College of Chemistry

    On 6th November, the first academic seminar of “Hundreds of young academic leaders training program” for college of Chemistry was successfully held in the report hall of Central laboratory, co-sponsored by Office of human resources of Nankai University and Center for faculty development. Tong Jiadong, vice president of Nankai University, Professor Zhou Qilin, Dean of the College of chemistry, Su Jing, director of Office of human resources, members of the academic committee and some students attended the lecture.

    Professor Chen Jun hosted the conference. The vice president of Nankai University, Tong Jiadong, gave a short speech before the reports. He expressed that we should strive for building up a worldwide top ranking university and the establishment of key disciplines of our school, especially Chemistry. Professor Cheng Fangyi, Guo Dongsheng, Kong Deming and Zhu Shoufei gave their reports respectively. They shared their experiences on researches and their brand new ideas about the development of Chemistry. They also had interactive communication with attendees at the seminar.

    Hundreds of young academic leaders training program mainly aims at selecting both on-campus and off-campus excellent scholars and cultivating a batch of outstanding youth academic leaders. The series of seminars is a midterm assessment of these eligible candidates for their research project and academic abilities. It provides students and faculty not only with cutting-edge research of chemistry, but also experience of advanced academic events.
