To summarize the hundred years history of Nankai Chemistry and boost the construction of first-class discipline, College of Chemistry held “Chemistry Discipline Development Forum” at Haibing Building on Oct. 15th. As one main part of the100th Anniversary Commemoration of Nankai Chemistry, leadership and core teachers from national famous universities were invited to have discussions on Chemistry construction direction, talent cultivation, teaching experience and so on. Vice university president, Academician Jun Chen attended and addressed, administrative leadership of the college, experts and teacher representatives from 29 brotherhood institutes as well as Chinese Chemical Society(CCS) attended this forum.

    Academician Chen expressed a warm welcome to all the guests, and sent sincere thanks to brotherhood colleges for supporting Nankai Chemistry all the time. He said 2021 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and the 100th anniversary of Nankai Chemistry as well. For decades, people from Nankai Chemistry stay firm to original intention and keep forward, contributing in both scientific research and talent cultivation. In the starting point of “Fourteen-Five” construction, we will adhere to school motto and take missions.

    The guests extended congratulations and thoroughly discussed over ideological and political education teaching experience, chemistry construction strategies and talent training system.

    College dean Shoufei Zhu delivered the closing speech, sending heartful thanks to guests and their blessing. He mentioned that Nankai Chemistry will summarize experience and commit to our country, serve national strategic needs, build the world first-class chemistry discipline in the new era.
