Robotic AI Chemists

Yi Luo is the Distinguished Chair Professor, Ny Tsi-Ze Chair Professor, Director of Hefei National Research Center for Physical Sciences at the Microscale, and Executive Dean of School of Emerging Technologies at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Laser Technology from Huazhong Institute of Technology, China, and a PhD degree in Computational Physics from Linköping University, Sweden. Before joining USTC, he was an Assistant Professor at Stockholm University, and Associate Professor, full Professor at Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. He has long been working in the fields of theoretical chemistry and experimental spectroscopies. He was awarded the Göran Gustafsson Prize in Chemistry in 2010 from the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, and the Outstanding Science and Technology Achievement Prize in 2014 from Chinese Academy of Sciences (key contributor). He has been listed as Highly-Cited Researchers of Clarivate Analytics in the latest three years.
