On Sunday 22 morning, September 2024, ACS Publications paid a visit to the College of Chemistry, Nankai University. Prof. Cheng Fangyi, the dean of Chemistry College, warmly hosted Dr. Sarah Tegen and her team in the central chemistry building.

The guests were provided a full round of introduction of the attendees and related information on the knowledge of its up-to-date history, its scale and representative research of the College, chaired by Prof. Yuan Mingjian, vice dean of the College.

Dr. Sarah Tegen, the Senior Vice President and Chief Publishing Officer of ACS expressed the sincere gratefulness of the support and mutual trust of ACS and Nankai Chemistry. She hoped to explore deeper and broader approaches to further work together on the purpose of the visit.

Prof.Cheng Fangyi reviewed the successful collaboration with ACS Publications and brought new ideas to look at various possibilities to make the College more accessible to scholars and educators worldwide. He also reviewed the special issue of the 100 Anniversary of the Chemistry Subject, hoping to attract intelligence to enrich the College’s international recognition. Prof. Shi Linqi and Prof. Pang Daiwen exchanged their opinions, as members of the Advisory Board of ACS journals.

Duan Mengshan, editor of eScience exchange her work experience as the editor of eScience with Amy Lam（林爱薇）,  Han Meijiao (韩美娇), Tang Qianjun （汤倩珺）, ACS Publication congratulated the achievement of eScience.

In the last ten years, ACS has been the top three choices to publish research results for scholars of Nankai University. Most papers are contributed in the field of Chemistry and Material studies, including the Journal of the American Chemical Society (known as ‘JACS’).
