On November 6th, the opening ceremony of the 2024 Global Nankai International Exchange Month and the 4th Overseas Learning and Exchange Education Exhibition of Shanhaitong Inviting Public Energy to Shine Together were held at the Balitai Campus. Chen Jun, an academician of the CAS Member, vice president of Nankai University, and Wang Junyan, director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Tianjin Municipal Education Commission attended the event and delivered a speech. Nearly 600 teachers and students from six universities in Tianjin gathered in Nankai to focus on international talent cultivation and share high-quality global educational resources.

He pointed out that Nankai University has always adhered to open education, attached great importance to the work of opening up education to the outside world, and strived to build a global competency training system for young talents with Nankai characteristics. On the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the founding of Nankai University and the 120th anniversary of the establishment of the Nankai series of schools, we hope that teachers and students can resonate with the national 14th Five Year Plan development blueprint and walk together with the Two Centenary Goals. In promoting the great cause of building a strong country and national rejuvenation, and building a community with a shared future for mankind, we hope to showcase our youth and contribute our youthful strength.

It is reported that this Global Nankai International Exchange Month is the first branded and restructured exchange program launched by the school to meet the needs of public talent cultivation, dedicated to enhancing the global perspective and cross-cultural communication abilities of teachers and students. This exchange month will involve various entities such as cooperative partner schools, teachers and students of the whole school, foreign experts, etc., covering more than 20 foreign affairs activities including this year's overseas learning exchange and education exhibition, committed to providing personalized, distinctive, and diversified exchange experiences for teachers and students.
