By Wang Liuqing, trans. by Li JingOn November 20th, Alison Dell, Minister Counsellor for Education and Research Affairs at the Australian Embassy in China, and her delegation visited Nankai University. Vice President Prof. Chen Jun met with guests at the Balitai campus.

 

Chen Jun introduced Alison Dell to the history and current development of Nankai University and its cooperation with Australian universities. Chen Jun stated that Nankai University has a good foundation for collaboration with Australian universities, and hopes that the Education Group of the Australian Embassy in China can assist Nankai University in expanding more Australian partner universities, carrying out multidimensional and multi-level cooperation, and contributing to the collaboration in the field of education between China and Australia.

 

Alison Dell thanks Nankai University for its long-term contributions in promoting education cooperation between China and Australia. Alison Dell said that she hoped that in the future, more Australian universities would have in-depth cooperation with Chinese universities represented by Nankai University and that more Chinese students would study in Australia to further promote communication and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

Officials from the Institute of Economic and Social Development and the International Cooperation and Exchange Office attended the meeting together.

 

On the same day, Alison Dell and her delegation also visited the Economic and Social Development Research Institute of Nankai University, and had in-depth exchanges on the implementation of the Sino foreign cooperative education master's program between Nankai University and Flinders University.
