Nankai University signs contract with the American Chemical Society Publishing Department to deepen cooperation

On December 11th, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between Nankai University and the American Chemical Society Publishing Department was held at the Haili Building in the Balitai Campus. Chen Yulu, President of Nankai University, and James Milne, President of the Publishing Department of the American Chemical Society, attended the signing ceremony and signed the memorandum on behalf of both parties. Chen Jun, academician of the CAS Member and vice president of Nankai University, and Sarah Tegen, senior vice president of the publishing department of the American Chemical Society, attended the signing ceremony.

 


According to the memorandum, both parties will jointly organize high-end academic activities in chemistry and related disciplines, collaborate on establishing academic journals in cutting-edge and interdisciplinary fields, and jointly carry out professional training for chemistry researchers to promote innovation and development in chemistry and related disciplines.

 

During the meeting, Chen Yulu reviewed the cooperation between the two sides in talent exchange, academic journals, and other areas. Chen Yulu stated that Nankai University and the American Chemical Society have a strong foundation for cooperation, and hopes that both sides can further strengthen cooperation in personnel exchanges, co-building high-level academic journals, jointly hosting educational conferences, and work together to build a new platform for high-end academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation.


James Milne expressed gratitude for Nankai University's long-term support to the American Chemical Society. He expressed his willingness to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Nankai University, jointly create academic journals with international influence in more disciplines, cooperate in organizing more academic activities, and contribute to the development of chemistry and related disciplines.

 

The American Chemical Society (ACS) was founded in 1876 and is a non-profit academic organization with nearly 150 years of history.
